Abstract

Fifteen reports of reactions occurring within 30 minutes of vaccination with live attenuated measles virus have been received by the Adverse Drug Reactions Advisory Committee (ADRAC) up to March 30, 1982. These reactions were similar to those in three episodes reported recently. An acute change in skin colour, described as cyanosis, slight cyanosis, or mottling was the most commonly reported symptom. All the children recovered. The causes and mechanisms of these reactions remain unknown.
