Abstract
A 9 year 5 month girl presented with her parents for an orthodontics consultation. The cephalometric and panoramic radiographs revealed two impacted premolars in the maxillary arch, and an impacted central incisor. The long axis of the impacted central incisor was about 110° to the left central incisor. A non-extraction treatment with Damon System was used. At the initial stage of treatment, space was opened for all the impacted teeth. The surgical procedure included palatal exposure of impacted maxillary premolars, and an apically positioned flap to expose the impacted maxillary central incisor in the 10th month of treatment. In the 30th month, the brackets were all removed, and the retainers were delivered. Follow up for 2 years, the result of treatment was stable.
