Abstract
Introduction: 13C-stable isotope breath testing is an established test for pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI). It is not known whether 13C-stable isotope breath testing can be used to detect the presence of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma PDAC whilst it is still suitable for resection. The aim of this study was to investigate if individuals with resectable PDAC had a noticeably different 13C-stable breath profile compared to healthy volunteers.
