Early identification, diagnosis and treatment of anterior asynclitism presentation

Abstract

Anterior asynclitism presentation, a severe abnormality of fetal head position, is one of the main causes of dystocia and has often been associated with cesarean birth. Anterior asynclitism presentation is difficult to identify in the early stage and is easy to misdiagnose or under diagnose, which further lead to harm the mother and fetus extremely. This paper emphasized on the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of the anterior asynclitism presentation, which is in order to increase the clinician′s awareness and attention to the anterior asynclitism and prevent serious damage to mother and fetus from failing to diagnose and deal with the disease in time.
