Abstract

Seven trilobite taxa are described from Lower Devonian beds at the top of the Jesse Limestone, New South Wales, Australia. New trilobite taxa are the four species: Scutellum hollandi, Astycoryphe (Longicoryphe) larminiei, Alberticoryphe? marshalli, and Scharyia kathena. Associated conodonts indicate a Zlichovian or Dalejan age for this horizon. The trilobite fauna is similar to others known from Europe (Bohemia) but its composition is believed to be more the result of facies control than representative of a brief incursion from that realm.
