Abstract
Madrid Salud, a public body of Madrid City Council responsible for prevention, promotion and community healthcare, initiated an early career researcher (ECR) in arts and health programme in 2017. This ongoing programme, in collaboration with Complutense University of Madrid, funded fellowships for Ph.D. students, supporting their training and research in the application of artistic methodologies within Madrid Salud’s teams and centres. This article outlines the programme’s implementation, emphasizing the significance of intersectoral actions for its success. Furthermore, it describes the experiences of ECRs within Madrid Salud, exploring how the arts contribute to contexts of prevention and health promotion.
