Abstract
Ten out of the uncovered 155 burials of the Early Bronze Age Bell Beaker–Csepel Group at Szigetszentmiklós-Üdülősor had circular ditches. The largest circular ditch of the cemetery enclosed a grave with scattered ashes and two symbolic graves. The central burial of a man contained “prestige goods”: silver/electron plate ornaments. According to our hypothetical reconstruction, it was a headdress worn as a diadem fixed on some organic material. The special symbolic phenomena and the complexity of the grave goods indicate the social status of the buried individual.
