Abstract
Background and Aims: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is associated with increased cardiometabolic risk factors and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Currently, there is a need to assess early CVD in high-risk women with and without PCOS to effectively prevent morbidity from CVD. Objective: The aim of this study was to provide evidence-based research to aid assessment guidelines for early detection of dyslipidaemia, cardiac dysfunction and subclinical atherosclerosis in women with and without PCOS.
