Abstract
More than 40% of patients with malignant middle cerebral artery (MCA) stroke undergone craniectomy may develop both early or late seizures, mainly partial with generalization. The median onset of seizures was seven months; delayed craniectomy (>42 h) has been identified as a risk factor for seizure (1, 2). The aim of our study was to identify factors related to the occurrence of seizures.
