Abstract
Extracts from addresses made by distinguished American engineering educationalists early in the last century reveal a concern to pay attention to nontechnical matters, such as command of the English language, familiarity with the arts, business skills and personal qualities. The author believes young student engineers of today could benefit from an earnest study of their advice.
