Abstract
Ear, nose and throat (ENT) emergencies comprise a diverse group of conditions, affecting both upper and lower airways, with the potential for rapid clinical deterioration, airway compromise and death unless managed promptly. Successful patient outcome is dependent upon the individual specialist skills of anaesthetists and ENT surgeons (and others), working in harmony as an effective multidisciplinary team.
