Abstract
Method for suppress out-of-plane vibration of power cables is proposed by using analytic feedforward function, called vibration manipulation function, to avoid galloping phenomena. Lorentz force is applied to the cable by controlling field of electro-magnet. Although the cable is excited by random wind, vibration error can be reduced with sampled-data control by modifying the function from position and velocity of the oscillators. Moreover, it can efficiently convert power of vibration to electricity for low cost green power generation.
