Abstract

SummaryThe formation and stabilization of free radicals in x-irradiated sulphur and selenium amino acids have been investigated by electron paramagnetic resonace (E.P.R.). An attempt has been made to identify the main radical species present. It is shown that selenium compounds have lower radical yields than those for sulphur compounds. An explanation is suggested for this difference.
