Abstract

Background: Response to CRT has been reported to be significantly affected by various baseline factors. This retrospective analysis of the DECREASE-HF (DHF) database was performed to further clarify which baseline covariates are predictive of reverse remodeling. Methods: Data from the DHF trial (NYHA III-IV, EF ≤ 35%, QRS ≥ 150ms, LBBB; N = 306 pts randomized) were used in this retrospective analysis. Using 6-month change in left ventricular end systolic volume (LVESV) as the measure of response, univariate linear regression analysis was performed on 44 baseline clinical factors including medication use and echocardiographic, electrophysiologic, and demographic characteristics.
