Abstract
This brief monograph presents the Proceedings of the Ninth Meeting of the Society for Investigation of Constitution (der Gesellschaft fur Konstitutionsforschung) which took place in Freiburg, Germany in October 1965, and which addressed itself to the consideration of dysostoses. A series of reports of variable length and degree of detail is included and represents contributions by outstanding investigators, almost exclusively from German centers. These reports include review type presentations as well as descriptions of new clinical, biochemical, and pathologic-anatomical observations in various forms of hereditary skeletal disorders. Several papers are devoted to discussion of the cloverleaf skull syndrome, first described by Holtenmuller and Wiedemann in 1960, and not yet commonly recognized in the English literature except for the paper by Comings (J Pediat67:126-129, 1965). For some time to come, this monograph may be the best source of information on this as yet uncategorized disorder. One has the impression that
