Abstract

Between 1976 and 1985 the dispersion and distribution of moose Alces alces Linnaeus, 1758 were studied in a complex of swamp environments in the Biebrza Valley of northeast Poland. Changes in the social organization of groups between autumn and spring were analyzed using hunting statistics and aerial surveys.
