Abstract

Transient thermoelectric effect (TTE) and transient Nernst effect (TNE) have been measured for La1.86Sr0.14CuO4 crystals. It was found that the TTE and TNE signals are observed only in the vortex liquid states. The former rises with two exponential components of τf∼1μs and τs∼1 ms, while the latter rises with single exponential component of τs. We suppose that the components of τf and τs result from the motions of single vortex and collective vortices, respectively.
