Abstract
We have measured the absolute continuum-intensity reproducibility, wavelength distribution, and radial and time dependences of the continuum radiation intensity for a multicomponent plasma formed by a low-voltage spark discharge. The data are analyzed theoretically. Limiting characteristics of the discharge for analytical spectroscopy, as determined by the continuum, are also discussed.
