Abstract

By separation of the soft degrees of freedom in the Leggett equations of spin dynamics, the equations of motion for textures in 3 He-B are derived. These equations are applied to the analysis of motions of spatially uniform textures in magnetic field in a bulk liquid and in a slab geometry. Relaxation of a uniform texture to the equilibrium is discussed in connection with the pulsed NMR experiments in a slab geometry.
