Abstract

Dynamics of convergence and reflection of the toroidal (ring-shaped) shock wave (SW) in the torus plane and in the plane passing through its symmetry axis is experimentally studied. It is shown that such an SW is significantly amplified near the torus symmetry axis. The maximum amplification of the toroidal SW near its symmetry axis is estimated.
