Abstract

The article presents the results of the experimental studies of the dynamics of radiation emitted by the surface layer of gold as a result of nonequilibrium heating of the electron and phonon subsystems by femtosecond laser pulses with different energy densities. A new method was used for the first time to obtain the experimental data on the relaxation times of the electron subsystem at temperatures of electron gas of ~104 K.
