Abstract

Contents of polyamines in leaves, buds and phloem of different nodes of 2-year-old hybrid seedling trees of Chinese chestnut (Castanea mollissima Bl.) were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. All polyamines had two significant inflection points at nodes 41-45 and 51-55. The two intervals may be related to the seedling trees phase change, and thus polyamines may serve as markers of phase change in Chinese chestnut.
