Abstract
The problem of propagation of a double-mode wave packet in a nonstationary optical waveguide is solved analytically. Generalized synchronism conditions for waves propagating in optical waveguides with a realized traveling permittivity-variation wave (TPVW) are considered. The dependence of the velocities of wave-packet envelope maxima on the waveguide parameters and on the characteristics of the realized TPVW is analyzed.
