Abstract

A detailed nuclear magnetic resonance analysis of the low-temperature dynamics of hydrogen (H2, D2, and HD) trapped in a solid matrix of C60 is presented. Experimental evidence for hindered rotational and localized three-dimensional translational motion for hydrogen within the ‘box’ formed by the C60 molecules is given.
