Abstract
The following processes were registered during Carrington rotation 2107 before the Tohoku earthquake with magnitude M = 9 that occurred on March 11, 2011: 1. Strong ejections (not Halo) were observed approximately four days before this earthquake. 2. An extremely dense flux of low-energy charged solar particles in the 50–200 keV range was observed for approximately four days before the earthquake and abruptly terminated when this earthquake started. 3. A two-sector structure with the dynamic equilibrium of sector and subsector interactions associated with Halo and Partial Halo coronal mass ejections was observed in a large-scale open solar magnetic field. The observations were qualitatively interpreted based on the assumption that the global atmospheric electric circuit intensified.
