Abstract

The authors derive in detail a dynamical mean-field theory of spin freezing in spin glasses using the Fokker-Planck type of approach in the high-barrier/low-noise limit. Then they go beyond the independent-mode approximation (IMA) by incorporating, partly, the effects of overlap of modes. The dependence of relaxation time on size turns out to be weaker than that in the IMA.
