Abstract

In this paper, we consider a mathematical model for the study of the interaction between leukemia cells and chemotherapeutic drug in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). In our model, there are three compartments, namely, leukemia-initiating cells, leukemics blast, and chemotherapeutic drug. Using a stability theory of differential equation, we analyze the existence and stability of the system at various equilibrium points. Furthermore, we discuss the effect of leukemia treatment by varying the values of relevant parameters. We also provide numerical simulations to illustrate the theoretical results.
