Abstract

The phase diagram of the neutral-ionic (NI) transition in the TTF-CA crystal is obtained on the temperature-pressure (T-P) plane from infrared molecular vibrational spectroscopy at low temperatures and high pressures. To clarify the dynamical aspects of the NI transition, the electrical properties were investigated in detail. The results of anomalous dielectric response as well as strongly field- and pressure-dependent conductivities are discussed in terms of NI domain walls and soliton-like defects.
