Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new SIRS epidemic model with non-linear incidence rate and treatment. The model exhibits two equilibria namely disease-free and endemic equilibrium. We present the positivity and existence of solutions of the new model. The basic reproduction number R 0 , is constructed using next generation matrix method. The local stability of the disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium are shown in the work. The effect of some important parameters on the model are shown through numerical simulations.
