Abstract

When conventional DTW is used in speaker independent word recognition (SIR), It is necessary to use multiple templates per word in order to account fox inter-speaker variability. This work presents two single template DTW algorithms for SIR in which the notion of reference frame and local distance are generalized in order to represent this variability. Theoretical analysis and experimental results are provided to show the efficiency of these algorithms.
