Abstract
Special seismic design requirements for raceway support systems in nuclear plants are reviewed. Full scale seismic tests on cable tray and conduit supports are described. Test results indicate that the support system used in fossil plants, with some modifications, is suitable for use in nuclear plants. Use of the design developed as a result of the tests can reduce the cost of raceway systems in nuclear plants by over one million dollars per unit.
