Abstract
The authors describe a novel control method of a dynamic simulator which simulates the dynamic characteristics of a one-mass system and a multiple-mass system consisting of motor, loads and elastic coupling shafts. This control method will make it possible to obtain desirable dynamic characteristics of the motor's moment of inertia, the loads' moments of inertia, elastic shafts, etc. By using test equipment fabricated through a DC generator, the effectiveness of this control method has been confirmed for the simulation of a one-mass model and a two-mass model with natural frequencies of less than 20 Hz. >
