Abstract

Dynamic responses of high polarization ferroelectric liquid crystal—multi walled carbon nanotubes composite material has been investigated in the wide frequency range (up to 1 MHZ). Permittivity increased by ∼20% to 40% (50 Hz–1 kHz range) but at high frequency >2 kHz, it was independent of carbon nano-tube concentration. The increase in permittivity is attributed to strong anisotropic interactions which enhances the orientational order.
