Abstract
By the complex variable function, the effects of a semi-cylindrical hill on the dynamic response of a shallow-buried elastic column were studied. Firstly the whole solution domain was divided into two parts, and the solutions that satisfied the boundary conditions were constructed in two parts respectively. Then according to the boundary conditions of junction interface and subsurface elastic column inclusion, a set of infinite algebraic equations about the problem can be obtained. Finally the computational results of dynamic stress concentration factor at the edge of elastic column were provided and discussed. It is found that for the elastic column, the influences of density and shear modulus on the dynamic stress concentration are obvious.
