Abstract

1. Isothermal deformation of KhN77TYuR alloy at temperatures of 950 and 1000°C and rates of 6·10−2, 2.5·10−3, and 6·10−2 sec−1 is accompanied by partial dynamic recrystallization. The microstructure of the alloy consists of fine grains elongated in the direction of deformation. With a decrease in the deformation rate the flow stress drops. 2. An increase in the isothermal deformation temperature to 1050°C (tdef>0.8tmelt) causes intense occurrence of dynamic recrystallization. In this case the microstructure consists of coarsened equiaxial grains. With a decrease in deformation rate there is a significant increase in grain size and a sharp drop in flow stress.
