Abstract

The dynamic range of discrete stroboscopic methods of signal transformation is investigated using statistical modeling. The ratio of the amplitude A* to the mean square deviation of noise at the transducer output is considered as the dynamic range. A* is determined as the maximum amplitude of the input signal at which the normalized distortion of the transformation result doesn’t exceed a certain predetermined value. A harmonic mono-oscillation, namely the UWB radar signal model, is used as the signal being transformed.
