Abstract
The assessment of muscle properties is important for diagnosis of neuromuscular diseases. We examined the dynamic twitch contraction of the quadriceps femoris muscle during electrical stimulation. Vastus medialis (VM), vastus lateralis (VL) and rectus femoris (RF) muscle were stimulated selectively and the rise-time of the contraction was measured with ultrasound imaging.
