Abstract

In the current phase of open-pit mining, the role of process road transport is of particular importance. It has a number of undoubted advantages, but is very costly. In the structure of the prime cost of mining operations for an ore quarry, the share of costs for ore transportation and overburden reaches up to 50 - 80 %. Thus operation of open-cast transport influences performance indicators on adjacent technological processes and the enterprise as a whole. The refore a question of justification of mine dump trucks productivity taking into account dynamics of complicating factors of operation gains its importance and topicality. This paper considers the features of the current state of open-pit motor transport for development of ore deposits in the North, it provides the indicators allowing to evaluate the efficiency of the transport performance and suggests an approach for determining the operational performance. Along with the above, the authors determined the dynamics of the level of decline in the performance of dump trucks depending on the service life, transportation distance, resistance to motion, organizational downtime and season, and summarized data for expeditious forecasting and operational decision making.
