Abstract

Dynamic neutron radiography (DNR) was used to image and to model the micro architecture and oil infiltration in Visingsö sandstone reservoir. DNR proved to be an effective tool in revealing not only the petrochemical porosity but also the oil movement between microscopic and strata level. The oil infiltration in the laminated structured layers was modelled by negative exponential, Gompertz and reciprocal functions, which adequately described the DNR images.
