Abstract
The Manila Amendment puts forward higher requirements for the performance of navigation simulator equipment, and emphasizes the latest requirements for the authenticity of navigation simulator behavior. There is still room for improvement in the dynamic response of the ship collision process in the existing navigation simulator. Based on the external collision dynamics of the original two-dimensional ship, the model is extended to realize the mathematical motion modeling of the 4DOF ship collision i.e., surging, swaying, yawing, and rolling. The simulation results are analyzed and compared with the experimental results of the scale model, and shows well. The simulation experiment is carried out with the typical two-ship collision process and the response curve is drawn. Combined with the existing ship mathematical modeling and the 3DOF ship collision detection interfaces, the simulation, and three-dimensional special effects display of the ship's 4DOF motion are achieved, and the quality of the navigation simulator is improved.
