Abstract
The dynamic longitudinal spin susceptibility of a system of Bloch electrons is studied using a Hamiltonian containing an exchange-correlation potential which is an ordinary function of density. Ferromagnetic states of the system are considered and local field effects are included. A set of charge, and spin response function matrices are formally determined, and are examined explicitly in some limiting cases.
