Abstract

Background: ALSP is characterized by loss of axons in the white matter with spheroids. CSF1R has been reported as causative gene of ALSP, and CSF1R is expressed on microglia in brain. Microglia are involved in the pathogenesis of ALSP. Remarkable atrophy of corpus callosum (CC) even in the early stages of brain lesion among four was elucidated by the present authors (2014, 2017). However, the neuropathological features in CC in ALSP are poorly understood.
