Abstract

A new adaptive algorithm, created on the basis of a normalized least-square method (NLSM), is presented. Behavior of an echo canceller based on the new algorithm, depending on the duration of pulse response (PR) of the echo path and algorithm parameters, is studied. The limit value of PR echo path duration, at which the designed echo canceller meets the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Unit (ITU) G. 165, is determined. The results of modeling, demonstrating decrease of computational load of the new algorithm compared to a regular NLSM are presented.
