Abstract

The infrared moisture meter has been widely used in moisture content detecting in tobacco leaf threshing and redrying line,however,its precision was greatly affected by leaf color,calibration was time-consuming and laboursome,and detection range was only about 50 mm.The dynamic calibration system of moisture meter based on network technology was developed,the equipment in the system connected by TDP/IP communication protocol via a network exchanger.The network automatic calibration software was programmed with Visual Basic and ran under the circumstance of microsoft Windows operating system.A static moisture meter was calibrated against oven drying to ensure its precision.The static moisture meter was used to detect the actual moisture content in the sample,the automatic calibration software automatically calculated the correct value,and the in-site moisture meter was corrected via network.The time for obtaining actual moisture content of samples was shortened,and the initial correction took less than 1 hour from 4 hours.The precision of in-site dynamic moisture meter rose from 0.4%-0.6% to 0.3%-0.4%,therefore the variation of actual moisture content could be reflected timely and accurately,and the automatic and accurate control of moisture content in tobacco leaf was realized during redrying.
