Abstract

The composite spectral Stokes singularities are introduced to describe polarization singularities in superimposed partially coherent beams beyond the paraxial approximation. Based on the vector Rayleigh–Sommerfeld diffraction integrals, the dynamic behavior of composite spectral Stokes singularities in the free-space propagation is studied and illustrated by numerical examples. A comparison with the previous work is also made.
