Abstract

In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a group-pile foundation with inclined piles is investigated by conducting dynamic centrifuge model tests and 3-D dynamic finite element analysis (DGPILE-3D). In the centrifuge model tests, the responding acceleration of the superstructure and the loads of the piles in earthquake are investigated and the dynamic features of the group-pile foundation with inclined piles are evaluated. Meanwhile the centrifuge model tests are simulated by dynamic analyses, in which the deformations of piles are carefully investigated.
