Abstract

Full transient dynamic analysis of the ITER Divertor Cassette under time-varying operating electromagnetic loads (EML) at plasma Fast and Slow Downward Vertical Displacement Events has been performed. Output characteristics of dynamic response of the cassette, such as reactions in supports, stresses, displacements, accelerations and dynamic amplification factors (DAF), were obtained. Results of the performed analysis have shown that obtained values of DAF are in the range from 1.5 to 1.7, so dynamic effects at loading the cassette by operating EML have to be taken into account at evaluation of its strength and life time.
