Abstract
This paper analyzes the chaotic dynamical characteristics of Chua's oscillator. In the oscillator, a memristor and a negative conductance are substituted for the Chua's diode. The memristor is a magnetron which having smooth curve. Then the chaotic dynamics equations of the oscillator are obtained which derived from the Chua's oscillator circuit, and the dynamic characteristics are analyzed: phase diagrams, Poincare maps, Lyapunov exponent and spectrum. In addition, based on passive control theory, the passive controller is projected to fulfilled the control of Chua's oscillator circuit for achieving asymptotic stability to it's stable state. Finally, simulation figures verified the designed controller is effective.
