Abstract

The paper describes a two-dimensional model of a plant community of a set of submodels of the biomass dynamics for individual plants distributed in a community. The submodel of plant growth is based on the concept of a free-growing plant and on a simple balance. The income item depends on the geometry of plant distribution in the community. The individual plant territories are evaluated by Voronoi's mozaic. If a plant dies, then its territory is to be shared between its neighbours. The model is implemented as a Fortran-IV program.
