Abstract

In this paper, PEC/PMC strips are used model a rectangular waveguide with an ideal hard surface. The procedure of obtaining the electric dyadic Green's function for an ideal hard surface rectangular waveguide is briefly presented. The field distribution plots of TEM modes are shown at cross-section planes of the ideal hard surface rectangular waveguide. To confirm the field plots obtained from the ideal hard surface waveguide model, a realistic hard surface waveguide simulated using Ansoft HFSS is presented
